Rules for Crazy Quilting Journal Project

The purpose of the annual Crazy Quilting Journal Project is 

  • promoting the art of crazy quilting and 
  • expanding the participant’s individual artistic creativity and technical knowledge.

The rules are:
  • Register
  • Complete a 6-inch or larger crazy quilt blocks each month*
  • Include hand or machine embroidery in monthly work.
  • Submit a photo of each block monthly (or as completed) to crazyquiltjp@gmail.com, which acknowledges you agree to the submission guidelines as outlined on the photo submission page.
  • Create a project** incorporating your monthly work by Jan. 30 of the following year.
  • Submit a photo of each project as completed to crazyquiltjp@gmail.com, which acknowledges you agree to the submission guidelines as outlined on the photo submission page
* Blocks may be squares, hexagons, pentagons, circles, rectangles or irregular shapes. This could be a 6-inch by 6-inch square, 4 3-inch hexagons, a 3-inch by 12-inch rectangle, etc. You choose the shape. 

** Project suggestions include a quilt, wall hanging, clothing or book. Also possible are a series of flags, needle books, jewelry, Christmas ornaments and other items.
