It will become the centre of a wallhanging with the name HOPE.</p><p>Why Hope? She explains the name came to her as she was <span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;">working on this 9-inch square block.</span></p><p><span style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;">“I listened and looked at the terrible news each day and decided this would be HOPE.”</span></p><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;">The colours are black, gold, pale grey and dark grey and the butterfly fabric, of course.”</div><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;"><br /></div><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;"><span style="background-color: white;">“The laces I used are rather old, the black beads and some items are real new and some antique.</span></div><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;"><span style="background-color: white;"><br /></span></div><div style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; font-family: "Times New Roman"; font-size: 16px;">The other 12 blocks will be 4½/4½ inches, she said. I look forward to seeing what you develop this year. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: right;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgNTOxhf28r9aHzIbs7I81fDdRXpPAV9sfxWDqD2hnamTNSX0HA8MUhe4SY1ATJeBhs_UlKdz6GW4DxKBhh5Q4IlQgnemFyykY_fZ3m0zLQpaBzZL1K6QaIVzLqSOW2gT3_e7tce8oGgCRfc1Cs7Sh0Gbe0HBmx4fnwOIYPsNPzFftNcIGQPrW753ln=s1772" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Crazy quilting using Kathy Shaw’s templates" border="0" data-original-height="1772" data-original-width="1772" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgNTOxhf28r9aHzIbs7I81fDdRXpPAV9sfxWDqD2hnamTNSX0HA8MUhe4SY1ATJeBhs_UlKdz6GW4DxKBhh5Q4IlQgnemFyykY_fZ3m0zLQpaBzZL1K6QaIVzLqSOW2gT3_e7tce8oGgCRfc1Cs7Sh0Gbe0HBmx4fnwOIYPsNPzFftNcIGQPrW753ln=w200-h200" title="Still crazy" width="200" /></a></div><br />The annual challenge is documented on blogger from 2012 to 2021. I will add links soon in another blog post.<div><p></p><p>Little has changed. Perhaps the biggest is reverting to a 36-square-inch monthly project. Sounds scary until you remember that is a 6-inch by 6-inch block or a 2-inch by 12-inch snippet or 3-inch by13-inch creation. </p><p>Of course, the monthly project doesn’t have to be a square. Think hexagons, rectangles, circles - any shape really.</p><p>And remember, the final project is not limited to a quilt. Think journal or book. Maybe a piece of clothing. Or a collection of Christmas ornaments.</p><p>Ladies and gentlemen, grab your needles and let’s go!</p><p>Oh wait First, the paperwork. Please read the following pages: </p><p></p><ul style="text-align: left;"><li><a href="https://crazyquiltjp.blogspot.com/p/rules-for-crazy-quilting-journal-project.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Rules</a>, </li><li><a href="https://crazyquiltjp.blogspot.com/p/frequently-asked-questions.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Frequently asked questions</a>, </li><li><a href="https://crazyquiltjp.blogspot.com/p/cqjp-photo-submission.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Photo submission</a> and </li><li><a href="https://crazyquiltjp.blogspot.com/p/how-to-register.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">How to register</a></li></ul><p></p><p>Then register.</p><p>Last but not least, grab your needles and fiber, scissors or cutters and fabric let’s create something crazy </p><p><br /></p></div>Crazy Quilt Journal Projecthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09533432923252332540noreply@blogger.com0
